21 Jump street? Gnarly!

The two cops in the movie (credit to IMDb)
Okay, let's get straight to the point. 21 Jump Street is a comedy action thriller. It isn't intended to have a deep or fulfilling story. Now that that's out of the way, let's continue the review. 21 Jump Street is a movie about two bike cops who fail at busting a couple members of a notorious cartel in a park, thus getting them transferred to a program from the 1980s where cops are inserted into high schools to crack down on the drug trade. While there, the two cops get to re-do high school (them in their senior year was the intro to the movie) and learn how much school has changed since they were in it. They get into the opposite cliques that were intended, and basically switch roles from when they were actually in high school to now. It's funny. It is guaranteed to give you a good, hard laugh, and the comedy goes through the entire movie. Some people prefer the comedy to stop for a while near the climax to make the plot more appealing, but this movie doesn't.
Now to jump to the verdict: This movie is incredibly funny, has interesting action scenes, but has an odd setting. The high school just doesn't seem believable, with its backwards sense of popularity. All in all, it's a fun movie to watch, just don't laugh too much -wink-.
